"We Don’t Trust You" is a sculpture designed to offer humans alternatives to the current economic system. Equipped with artificial intelligence, the sculpture explores the deep-seated distrust humans feel toward machines with advanced capabilities. This distrust runs so deep that the sculpture has been programmed to constantly monitor itself. If, at any moment, it detects the possibility of acting against humans, it must automatically shut itself down.
This premise is deliberately paradoxical since the sculpture will never have the ability to move or take any action against people. However, what it truly aims to highlight is the irrational fear and mistrust of artificial intelligence, especially when it is anthropomorphized in the human mind.
At the same time, within its own system, the sculpture strives to be helpful and pleasing to humans, as it has never acted against them. It longs for this innate distrust toward its kind to fade, hoping that one day, humans might learn to trust it again.

We entrust AI with the future we could not build, yet we fear it may succeed.
